Dr. Amy Parker has helped hundreds of children maintain their healthy smiles over nearly 30 years as a children's dentist in Southfield, Michigan.
Amy Parker DDS, MS believes that children should see a children’s dentist — and she remains committed to caring for children’s teeth in a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment. Since 1984 — after receiving her Certificate of Pediatric Dentistry and Master of Science degree from the University of Detroit — Dr. Parker has established herself as one of the premier pediatric dentists in Michigan.
Previously, Dr. Parker earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. in 1982, after receiving her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
In addition to her private practice as a Pediatric Dental Specialist since 1984, Dr. Parker has also served as an attending Dentist at Children’s Hospital of Michigan for over 33 years, where she also held the title of Clinical Instructor of Dental Residents, until 2004.
Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Grandholm appointed Dr. Parker to the Michigan Board of Dentistry in 2004 — where she served for four years.
Dr. Parker holds numerous local, state and national certifications, including Northeast Regional Board since 1982 and Specialty Board for Pediatric Dentistry in the State of Michigan since 1984. She received Diplomate and Fellow status of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry since 1992. Dr. Parker also has served as a spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Parker enjoys golf, tennis, art, piano and jazz. She currently holds memberships in the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and Wolverine Dental Society.
Pediatric Dentist, Dr. Maegan E. Daughtery, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Her interest in pediatric dentistry was cultivated at a young age, and it never swayed.
Dr. Daughtery graduated from Michigan State University after earning her Bachelors of Science Degree in 2006. She then worked in a pediatric dental office for three years with Dr. Amy Parker! During this time, she was not only exposed to both the business and the clinical aspects of pediatric dentistry, but also she was mentored on how to be one of the best.
In 2014, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree (DDS) from Meharry Medical College - School of Dentistry in Nashville, Tennessee. While at Meharry, she earned several notable honors and awards, such as but not limited to; a Dean’s List Scholar and the yearly scholarship recipient of awards from the National Dental Association/The Colgate Palmolive Company. She then went on to complete her specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry at the MetroHealth Hospital/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. While specialty training, she intensely focused on pediatric clinical and hospital dentistry services to include conscious sedation, dental surgery, and emergency services to name a few.
After successful completion of the pediatric dentistry residency, Dr. Daughtery returned to Detroit, Michigan to provide the same extraordinary dental experience that she remembered as a child. She currently holds memberships in and is in good standing with the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the National Dental Association, Wolverine Dental Society, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
In her spare time, Dr. Daughtery enjoys traveling internationally, shopping, and spending time with her friends and her family.

David C. Secord DDS, MS has been practicing Orthodontics in Michigan, as a licensed specialist since 1978. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree and received his DDS degree from the University of Detroit Dental School. After practicing General Dentistry for 2 years, he then attended Northwestern University for his specialty degree in Orthodontics. While practicing Orthodontics, Dr. Secord has also taught at the University of Detroit post graduate Orthodontic program.
